About Arnessted Kaffehus

Arnessted Kaffehus is a specialty coffee house on Gravensgade in central Aalborg, at the lively end of Algade. Married couple Ane Sund Katborg and Ulrik Falentin Sund run it.

The beans come from Holy Bean, a roastery on Funen, served as filter coffee, espresso, cortado and flat white, and the café grinds bags to order for filter, plunger or espresso. Breakfast runs until noon, followed by panini, with cinnamon rolls, monkey bread and buns with butter on the counter and gluten-free options. The name comes from Ane's family nickname and the Danish word arnested, a hearth where people gather. That idea shapes the room, which works for families, slow breakfasts and an evening glass of wine.

Brewing espresso, batch brew.
